Hi i got a Dell Axim X5 PDA - Im having big troubles with the wireless configuration.

First of all the help isnt giving me good help - this is what it tells me to do in order to set up a wireless config.

Set up a wireless network

Networks that you have already configured are preferred networks and are listed in Wireless networks. You can select to connect to only preferred networks or have your device search for and connect to any available network whether it is preferred or not.
Tap > Settings > Connections > Connections > Network Card > Wireless tab.
To change network settings, in Wireless networks, tap a network. If you do not see a desired network, tap Add new and follow the instructions on the screen.
From Networks to access, select All available, Only access points or Only computer-to-computer depending on the type of network(s) you connect to.
To connect only to networks you have already configured, clear Automatically connect to non-preferred networks.
If you select to automatically connect to non-preferred networks, your device will detect any new networks and provide you the opportunity to configure them.

When i go into Connections then into Network Card i dont see a Wireless tab.

Can anyone explain?!

Cursed,

That sequence of taps will take you to the 'Configure Network Adapters' page. On it you should have a combo box of where the card connects to (i.e. Work or The Internet by default). Below the combo box will be a list box that contains all the adapters. The wireless adapter should be label like 'Dell Axim X51 WLAN Wireless Adapter'. Tapping this entry will take you to its configuration page, but I don't think you need to go there. First ensure you have the wireless adapter enabled. From Settings -> Configuration tab select the 'Dell WLAN Utility' and look in the Power group box. If there is a button labeled 'Turn On' tap it, once it is on the button will change to 'Turn Off'. Once enabled go to the site tab to see available networks and the Config tab to modify the wireless connection properties for that connection.

I haven't had to modify settings on the adapter page as the defaults worked for me.

Good luck,

James
