Differences Domains...

Hi!
I wanted to know something...
For example, when you sign up for a PAID account, they give you the option to create www.domain.com or domain.x10hosting.com
I wanted to know what are the differences between creating a www.domain.com or a domain.x10hosting.com and then park www.domain.com on it...

Also i wanted to know if someone can tell me HOW to add a ADDON domain, because it asks for a sobdomain, but i want it to add to a subfolder, like domain.com/subfolder/
So i have to first create a subdomain ???

not sure about the rest but the difference between a .com domain and a x10hosting.com domain is that the .com is a full domain and the x10hosting.com is a subdomain of x10 hosting.
