Directurls to folders, is it possible?

Is it possible to have http directurls to a folder or file you have somewhere in your webspace/webdisk? How is the format?

Knowing this would be nice for my GMod server this way I can just specify the http directurl of the folder and any maps in there and stuff would be uploaded to people who connect to my server and dont have the stuff. This way I wont have to upload maps and things, which cause lag :frown:.

Ok lets say I accessed my webspace with FTP, made a folder in home, you know, where the mail folder, public_ftp folder, and public_Html folder is? This new folder I created would be named garrysmod. What would be the http directurl to this folder? I would like this so I don't have to upload maps to players who join my server, and don't have the map that my server is set to. By setting the server command's (valve dubs it Cvar) sv_downloadurl "(directurl to garrysmod folder here)" then any files in there like maps and things in the maps folder in garrysmod would be uploaded to the player.

Well before you do that, you should probably read the terms of service again.

We do not allow file hosting. Any files hosted on your web space must have to do with your site. You also have to have a website up within 1 week.

I don't think you'll really find a free webhost that you use a file host. May want to just consider looking for a free FILE hosting service.

Sorry for kinda wasting your time :sad:, I thought you could use this place as like personal webspace too...sorry. But out of truth and honesty, this IS the best place to make a website!
