I am trying to move my my new domain name to x10 hosting from my domain provider letshost.ie (Ireland). My new domain address is camcam.ie.
I log into my registrar control panel and try to add my new custom nameservers ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.

I receive this error:
"Error : 2102-ns1.x10hosting.com is not authoritative for zone camcam.ie.
Please verify your DNS entry and try again.
If you still get this error, please contact your hosting provider and ask them to set up DNS for your domain, and then try the change again."

My registrar support forum has detailed this error at http://www.letshost.ie/why-am-i-having-issues-repointing-dns-for-a-ie-domain/

The problem appears to be that i need to create a zone on x10hosting first. However i cannot create a zone or add a domain until the DNS settings have been correctly redirected. Their solution appears to be that my host (x10) needs to manually create a DNS Zone for my website.

Is their anyway I can create this zone from my control panel or do i need to request that an administrator do it for me?

An admin will have to do it for you. x10Hosting normally requires that your domain registrar's settings be altered first (so they can make sure that the entries are pointing to their nameservers), but occasionally the domain registrar requires that it be done the other way around in their automated system. When both sides need the other changed first, it means that someone who can go around the automated system needs to make the change (either end will do, then you can use the system at the other end).

Just leave this ticket standing; someone who can do something about it will see it. (If you haven't gotten a reply from someone with sufficient access in, say, 24 hours, try posting again.)
