Hi there,

I'm just wondering when DNS will be updated with the new IPs? Details of my current ping status.

Pinging jamiegilhooly.co.uk [69.175.104.34] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 69.175.104.34: bytes=32 time=129ms TTL=52
Reply from 69.175.104.34: bytes=32 time=128ms TTL=52
Reply from 69.175.104.34: bytes=32 time=130ms TTL=52
Reply from 69.175.104.34: bytes=32 time=131ms TTL=52
Ping statistics for 69.175.104.34:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 128ms, Maximum = 131ms, Average = 129ms

When I look at my Advanced DNS Zone A Name record, the IP is 74.63.233.26.

I'd expect the DNS changes to have gone through now but they haven't

As always, thanks for any support. For a free service, it is spot on!

Just noticed that you list the IPs on Corey's thread. Therefore I now know that DNS is now updated correctly. My concern is that the A name record is wrong for a lot of entries. Will you be running a batch script to sort these or will the user have to update the tables themselves?

Many thanks,

Jamie

The whois record is showing the A record pointing to the new ip only.

By the way how did you accessing the cpanel? using your server.x10hosting.com:2082 or jamiegilhooly.co.uk:2082

check both and confirm the A records.

The dns propagation may take upto 48 hours. So have patience.

I bookmarked chopin.x10hosting.com:2082. I've just tried the same using jamiegilhooly.co.uk:2082 and it works as well so now know that I have no problem with the DNS record as such. I still would like to know why the advanced DNS zone is the way it is with the other IP in it. Appreciate it could all be part of the migration and therefore happy to accept that it might take a while to fix.

Therefore my question changes somewhat, when using www.jamiegilhooly.co.uk I get no page up. IE8 immediately goes to an error page. Everything seemed to be working well before hand. Is the webserver still to be setup and ran.

During the migration there will be two copies of accounts one at old DC and another at new DC, When you login to cpanel you might be looking at old one and when you access you might be seeing the other one.

So have patience.

Got access to the correct cPanel using the IP address and yes the Advance DNS Zone is up to date. Just checked the status and HTTPd has failed so it is a post migration issue you have.

At least I know it is not an issue at my end and that I can wait for this to be fixed.

Thanks again.
