Hi, I have two issues today:
1) It has been two months since I bought my domain and pointed it to x10hosting. But a couple of people have been telling me that they can't access my blog at blog.secretss.net. So I went on whatsmydns.net and I got these results: http://grab.by/2tPL and http://grab.by/2tPU
Is it important that for A it returns different IPs for different locations, and for NS it returns 4 NS values instead of 2 for some locations? How do I go about removing the ns30.mynameservers.us and ns31.mynameservers.us entries?

Also, this screencap shows my DNS configuration: http://grab.by/2tPk
Is this perfectly ok? The IP addresses for A - NS1 and A - NS2 are equivalent to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.

2) When I attempt to visit a page on my site that I do not have, instead of the custom 404 page that I've set in my cPanel, I get the default x10hosting 404 page. I have set custom error pages for other errors as well, and I think none of them work. How can I solve this issue?

Thank you very much for any help :)

Some records are invalid in this http://grab.by/2tPk

Change A records to 74.63.233.25 instead of 216.66.76.130

Change ns1 to 69.162.115.171 instead of 208.43.202.204
Change ns2 to 74.63.233.253 instead of 67.228.168.189

I got the IP address from the x10hosting knowledge base article here : http://kb.x10hosting.com/questions.php?questionid=26
where it says 208.43.202.204 and 67.228.168.189, so does that mean the knowledgebase article is outdated?

Do I change the A records for ALL the entries that currently say 216.66.76.130? Including ftp, mail, smtp, www? Actually I'd initially asked two of my friends and they told me it wasn't necessary to mess with the A records on my domain's dns control panel since I've already added the nameservers from x10hosting. So I didn't do anything except add two IP entries for x10hosting's nameservers.

Thanks for the prompt reply! :)

I've changed the A records now, but I guess changes take time to propagate.

I went to whois my domain and it returned numeric IP addresses for ns1.x10hosting.com, ns2.x10hosting that I've never seen before: http://grab.by/2tSd
It says 69.162.115.171 and 216.245.214.54 respectively but this pair of addresses does not match either what's on the knowledgebase article (208.43.202.204 and 67.228.168.189), or the pair of addresses that you gave me a couple posts up (69.162.115.171 and 74.63.233.253).

D: Weird!

(69.162.115.171 and 74.63.233.253) is the correct pair..

Use them...

Updation of Whois for your domain will take time like DNS propagation

Ok, I've opened a ticket on my registrar's support desk to change the ns1 and ns2 IP addresses to the ones you've given me and to remove ns30.mynameservers.us and ns31.mynameservers.us. They take a really long time to do things so I'll have to wait.

In the meantime, can someone please take a look at the second issue I've been having please?:
2) When I attempt to visit a page on my site that I do not have, instead of the custom 404 page that I've set in my cPanel, I get the default x10hosting 404 page. I have set custom error pages for other errors as well, and I think none of them work. How can I solve this issue?

Thanks! :)

You have to add this to .htaccess file

For Example you have error documents in errors folder with the following names. Then

ErrorDocument 400 /errors/badrequest.html
ErrorDocument 401 /errors/authreqd.html
ErrorDocument 403 /errors/forbid.html
ErrorDocument 404 /errors/notfound.html
ErrorDocument 500 /errors/serverr.html

Change them according to your error document paths
