(I wish I knew how to make this a poll)

Now that most people are security conscious and quite a few of them are turning off javascipting in their browsers and also because Internet explorer (all versions) have some big issues with java script, that we should try to implement server side scripting (php, asp, asp.net, perl) as much as possible so that our websites remain as compatible as possible...

PS: I believe there are still people on this planet that still use lynx

this sounds more like a cross-fire topic, but ill go with the flow for now.

and I shall respond with a question: Do you think think we should define the future of webdesign as the past but without ehancibility?

because for the future, we would like to progress and not de-gress(sp?). so if we take away client-side capabilities on all websites, then what purpose does that do us. In the future there will be better ways to enhance security and IE will eventually die out, (or atleast I hope so)

but if you build a whole site off JS then that's bad. so we should build server-side scripts, and then enhance them with JS. and make sure if JS in disabled to have a fall-back plan and get server-side to kick in.
