Today, I registered "kentmathis.com" with GoDaddy. I also signed up for an x10Hosting account. I want kentmathis.com/ to take me to what was kentmathis.x10hosting.com/index.html, but I don't want it parked. That is, I want visitors to see "kentmathis.com" in the address bar, not kentmathis.x10hosting.com.
I used the forum search and came across this post: http://forums.x10hosting.com/tutorials/58592-change-x10-sub-domain-your-owned-domain.html . I believe that post outlines what I want done and how to do it, but I found it a little bit confusing. The way I'm reading it, I basically have to do two things: 1.) Change the Name Servers at GoDaddy to point to NS1.X10HOSTING.COM and NS2.X10HOSTING.COM (which I've done) and 2) Where it says Modify account details at the AMP, Check "Check if using your own domain," enter my domain, click "Confirm Domain" and then click "Confirm Hosting Details" (Which I've done as well).
Before I took those two steps, when kentmathis.x10hosting.com was my domain, entering "kentmathis.x10hosting.com" into my browswer took me to the index.html file I had updloaded. Now, when I enter kentmathis.x10hosting.com or kentmathis.com into my browswer I am taken to a page that says:
"Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server..." etc.
Do I need to do anything else, or must I just wait for a few days everything to be updated?
