Domain Names

So I had a website with 'x10.mx' along with another, but now I can't make a domain with the same 'x10.mx' because it's apparently owned by me even though I deleted the site. I don't know what to do now. I deleted records for the main site to try and change it to a different one and now I just want to restart. I wish there could just be an easier way to change domain names for free.

I was trying to do thecookyclan.x10.mx and my main site that I deleted files for is byowltestsite.x10.mx but I don't want it to be.

I like that idea. But it's not going to be forever because I'm going to be with 2 communities. I'd like to have 2 websites at the same time. I also don't know if there was a way to change domain names quickly. Is there any other 'x10' thing I could use for a domain so I can have 2 websites?

You can use add-on domains to add your own one, but I'm assuming that you're wanting an other one (*.x10.mx).

How do I fix that?(I was trying to add-on a separate domain.)

I have a problem again and I looked at mybb but everything told me to come to the website host so here I am and the problem is with the MySQL. "MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue."

You don't have a MySQL user named byowltes_mybb, but you do have a database named that. From your account panel it looks like the user for that database is byowltes_mee; try switching it and see if it connects then

I tried to switch it up and it didn't help there's something else that's wrong and it's starting to tick me off because I've never had this problem before.

Have you entered 'byowltes_mee' or 'byowltes_mee;'? I personally would have typed the second one after a quick read (blame the looks of the forums on a small screen).

I have deleted this database and remade it same for the damn users none of them work and now I'm tired and pissed that I can't make a website after so many times Dead-i has fixed things and how I came so much closer to making a god damn website, but when it comes to installing the forums the mysql servers won't let me in. This is the damn first time for it to ever happen to me so I'm pretty sure someone did something to mess something up or is this just me having this problem?

Hi,

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble installing your forum software. I took a quick look, and it appears @caftpx10 is correct. Your test forum is connecting to "byowltes_mee;" when the database username should actually be "byowltes_mee".

Please could you try removing the semi-colon at the end of the MySQL username in your configuration? You can find your settings in the Settings.php file in your SMF installation.

I just tried it and it didn't work. Even when I go to http://test.x10.mx it says "Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later." and http://thecookyclan.x10.mx says "
MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

[READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server" I didn't change anything for this to happen. I tried your advice and there wasn't a difference.

Hi,

It is possible the password you are using to authenticate with MySQL is incorrect. Please could you try resetting your MySQL user's password from cPanel, and then change your configuration file accordingly?

Your forum is attempting to sign in with byowltes_mybb, but this user does not exist. Please try using a MySQL user you have already created, such as byowltes_mee or byowltes_me. Alternatively, you could create this user in cPanel.

For mybb I can't set what user I'm using, and for smf I know it's not the password being incorrect
