Hi everyone,

My site, http://nightwing00.exofire.net, uses the Advanced plan and uses Joomla CMS. I just got a domain transferred to me. When I got the owner to point the dns to ns1.x10hosting.com and when I went under "Modify Account" and changed my domain to "jpsmun.org", everything worked fine. However, the problem is that the URL in the address bar stays as http://jpsmun.org, no matter what page I go to. However, the status bar at the bottom will read "Waiting for nightwing00.exofire.net..." and then the page will load. When I hover over a link, it will say, for example "http://www.nightwing00.exofire.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=27" instead of "http://jpsmun.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=27", which, under normal circumstances I understand, it ought to. It becomes a bother when a user tries to refresh a non-front page page. Because the URL in the address bar reads jpsmun.org, it will redirect to the front page instead of refreshing the page as it should.

When I went to "Modify Account" under Account about 10 minutes ago, the domain was set to "nightwing00.exofire.net". I thought this must be the reason, so when I changed it to jpsmun.org, I got a weirdly formatted "Modify Account...Making modifications through WHM" page. Even though a teal bar at the top said "Changes to cswong have been saved!" slightly below it with a greyish background read:

Changes Domain Modification nightwing00.exofire.net -> jpsmun.org

Modifing httpd.conf
Modifing proftpd.conf
Modifing valiases
Adding dns entry
Sorry, a DNS entry for jpsmun.org already exists, please delete it first

Error:Error. WHM reported an unknown error. Error 1.
Eek. I don't really know what to do! Please help! Thanks for your time.

Username: cswong

Looks like it didn't update the databse with your new name; The reason you're seeing the subdomain still most likely is you have to edit the config file for your CMS. I'll check into the DNS part.
