double space and bandwidth

i am having troubles with the connection with my host. The connection is very intermittent. I cant even connect via ftp. I have already upgraded my account to double bandwidth and space but nothing have changed its getting even worse. What seems to be the problem? Has my upgrade purchase really taken effect to my account?

Whenever you're seeing server problems, check the Service Alerts forum (recent posts are also linked in the Server Alerts panel of cPanel, though that might not be accessible if the server is having problems). If you're on Chopin, you'll see that it's been under a DoS attack.

It looks like it. Check your account panel or cPanel.
