I am going to create a program that will gain its configuration files from my website hosted by x10 Free. I wonder if i should display the ads in the program...

Well, would the public be able to access the configuration files from your website? I'm guessing not, so I don't think you would have to put the ads in the program, though it would be a nice gesture.

No, the program would be the only thing to download and parse the configuration files, so that seems ok.
