X10Hosting Free Accounts can't be used for File Hosting. Its a violation of TOS.

As far as i can see it it is actualy not in violation of the tos to host files as long as it is yours to share

File hosting is not allowed. Reason being, is when people start using this service to host files it starts affecting everyones website loading speeds. Then we start hearing complaints. When start hearing complaints we then go searching for the accounts using x10hosting as a file host/torrents and suspend them to keep the other 1,000's of hosting account clients happy. :)

well, if you need to share files why don't you use a free file hosting service such as rapidshare, megaupload or fileden?

Chris means File Hosting is not allowed, I think he must have misspelled it.

You can have files on your account that you'd like to share with others; it is fine.

What the Terms of Service is specifically aiming at is that we do not allow accounts to exist solely for the purpose of hosting files. If you have a website and would like to share files that abide by the ToS, that is okay.

In order to do what you're asking about you'll need to have the file within your home/public_html/ directory. Find the path to that file (http://domain.com/path/to/file.ext) and use that. This would be the easiest way to do what you're asking.
