Edit FLV, Posible?

This is something i already ask on another forum, but no one answer me.
I want to edit a FLV video of flash MX. Is there anyway to do this? Maybe with some programs.
What i want to do is to cut some scenes of my FLV video. and put it back on flash mx.
Another question, is there any program that can convert FLV to AVI? So i can edit it from AVI.

FLV is a flash video format using sorenson spark codec. It has a nice format (specialy for web). Do you use flash MX or MX 2004 and try to import a video (let's say AVI or MPEG) , Flash will convert it to FLV and Insert to you're movieclip as "embeded viede"

google it but of course when you import the avi, mpeg video it is displayed by a timeline sperated by layers so click on the frame you want to edit and do it
