My email isn't working. I am new and haven't tried out my email before now. I just assumed it was working but I was trying to set up a quotation form, when I tried it out I never got a response. I thought I just didn't know how to set up the form. I was creating it in DreamWeaver but wasn't sure if I was doing it right. So I tried sending and receiving email to various email clients I have and none of it is going through. I tried deleting my email account and recreating one and also tried emailing to the base email and it still didn't work.

I would appreciate if you would check it out.

Thank you

This is an update I try posting this in the email but it wouldn't let me save: My email all of a sudden started working. I don't why but it is. But I send can't receive the reply from testing the form. Does anyone know where a tutorial is that will show me how to set up a form to make it work. I have the form wording set up but I think that something needs to be done in the coding to make it work. Please check it out at my site houseofindexes.x10.mx and go to Quotation Enquiry and let me know what I am missing.

Make sure that you set up a email account through cPanel. Next use that email account as the sender for your emails and you should receive responses to your emails at that email.

I would appreciate it and I sorry for posting this twice but it wouldn't let me edit. I just clicked "save" after trying to correct it but it wouldn't save. Is there a trick to making it work?

If you double post, the system will combine your two posts into one post. I saw the update. I gave you a generic response concerning email as it does provide all the necessary information and step, albeit in a very condensed fashion. However if you wish to have a tutorial to a contact us form in php, your best bet would be to use google or use pre-coded packages.

Thank you, Xav0989..:)

I did all that and for some reason it wasn't working but all of a sudden this morning it started working. I wonder if it has anything to do with AOL or Yahoo. Those where the two email clients I was testing from. This morning I tested it from my Internet provider's email which I usually don't use because when I first signed up for hosting it was blocking the inital email that was sent for me to set it up. Some one suggested that it was block the email from X10hosting for some reason. But this morning I tried emailing from it to my x10.mx email and vice versa and it started working...:)

Now...do you know what I am doing wrong with my form? Do I need to repost this under a different thread since it is a different topic? I will wait for a while to see if I get a response and if I don't then I will try replosting it by itself.

Thank you so much for your help.

We have been blocked by some email providers (mainly hotmail, yahoo and AOL, not a single time with gmail) for various reasons, mainly because our email server was abused by inconsiderate users. Most of them have removed us from their blacklist, but they sometimes pop us back. I've been trying to contact them for a while.

As for your programming related section, it would be best to post it in the programming section of the forums.

Oh? I had the impression I could only post in the free hosting section. I will try posting it there if I can't find a tutorial on Google. I tried initially setting up the quotation form in the RVsite builder when I was trying to set up my website there but it was lacking in one of the features I needed. I imagine it would have coded it right for me and I figured Dreamweaver would but evidentally it doesn't.

Thank you, you are so helpful...:)

The Free Hosting section is the only place that we provide official support, but you are able to post in pretty much every section on this forum to talk with or get support from the community at large.
