Email with Forum

I received an email stating I don't have a forum account linked with my hosting account. What are the steps I need to take to attach the two? The email address for both is the same...

Do I have to register a brand new forum account though? Shouldn't I be able to simply link this one with my account?

No, you can link to the account you are using now.

Can you be more specific on how to do this? I do not see the option anywhere aside from creating a new account.
