enable php?

I have a form with a php script that sends an email on my website . I recently got this error.I have been told that i need to enable php on the server. I tried and i couldn't figure it out. Any idea? here is the error i got.

mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/kbruin79/public_html/contact_us/contactformprocess.php on line 27

You need to upgrade your PHP configuration to Intermediate. You can do this from the AMP at http://x10hosting.com/account (look in the bottom right box.)
