I recently got a notice that exec() was disabled for security reasons. I am immensely confused about this, as I have the advanced (v3) PHP configuration, where it plainly says on the account panel that exec() is enabled.

Could you please re-enable this function? MediaWiki requires it for thumbnail generation, so getting a fatal error on every page that uses images is not very appealing to the people that visit my site.

PS - could you re-enable phpinfo() as well... that USED to work just like 2 days ago, and now it doesn't :/. The only place I use it is restricted access-wise anyway, so you don't have to worry about it security-wise

If it is not in v3 x10 will not enable it. I wanted register_globals, and thery said no. And why do you want phpinfo()

It can reveal dangerous things like the internal PHP build, internal names etc, all of which could be used to compromise the servers.

Hmm, ok, that makes sense in regards to phpinfo() then. It would be bad if someone managed to hack into x10 and take everyone's personal info.

As for exec()... please enable it soon. It does say in the account panel that v3 has exec() enabled, but it clearly isn't as shown here

The system that manages php versions is off right now so everyone has version 2.
