erm......... help?

right then..........
i'm totally new to all of this hosting lark, what im trying to do is set up a website, (well, two to be precise) what i am having trouble with is, well, erm, how do i say this,..... all of it! i have been in the control panel thingy and took off the .x10 bit at the end of my site name. now the name is displayed as www.wiganhistory.co/ and when i click on it is says the page cant be displayed.
is this correct?
also how do i now get this new name to make a website lol. as you can probably tell i'm totally useless at all of this and if funds would allow i would gladly pay somebody to do it for me!
i fully understand that most of you are currently rolling about laughing at me at the moment, on which i dont blame you one bit, but when you have finished laughing could i please trouble someone to explain to me on what to do!

to be honest if you don't write all that like "you will be laughing" and all that then it will be easier for us to solve your problem.and the way you told the problem not only me no one understood clear enough.

firstly thanks for the reply.
its just my way of saying help i aint a clue on what im doing.
what i want to do is set up a website. i have got as far as the name of it and i think hosting it through x10hosting. now what i need to know is what do do next from the basics upwards. like i said i'm very confused by all of this as i have never tried anything like this before, but usually i get the idea of something pretty quickly and learn how to do it pretty fast. basically, how do i get from where i am now to a simple website with my domain name on it?

well create an index.html page( for that you will need to learn html) and upload it to public_html page. continute building the site and making it larger.

or you can use default forum system like this one by clicking on fantastico button in the bottom of cpanel . You have wide range of things to choose from..

after once you have done all of the above and perfect then only i advice you to add your domain name which is very easy

ok, i have tried to log into cpanel and all i get is a page cannot be displayed.
i tried to log in from hosting account information page.
