error conecting to remote database

I'm guessing you have your MySQL databases hosted remotely? In that case, log in to your cPanel and select "Remote MySQL". From there add mysqlhost.netfirms.com. Note that you can, however, host MySQL databases with us.

done that now im getting this error

10.8.12.7 that is the IP of the server my database is on dont know if you need to add that to a firewall or something as i seen in a previous thread on here when doing a search

Hiya guys, ok i got onto the company whom my sql database is with they have sorted it however now im getting a 500 internal server error on these servers I have just checked in my account and my php upgrade to the middle option is still pending after 8 hours i guess this could be whats causing the internal server error can anyone help?
