I’m currently experiencing an issue with my free x10hosting account where my WordPress site shows the error:
“Error establishing a database connection.”
When I checked the cPanel, my MySQL database is completely missing—it doesn’t appear under “MySQL Databases” or phpMyAdmin at all. I didn’t delete it manually, and all my website files are still in public_html.
After browsing the forum, I noticed several other free-tier users reporting the same problem around the same time, which makes me think this might be a broader issue (possibly related to account inactivity, server maintenance, or a system-side deletion).
Has anyone else encountered this and successfully recovered their database? Or does anyone know if x10hosting keeps any kind of automatic backup for free accounts?
