Is it possible to change the error pages that appear such as the 404 and the 40* pages. i cant seem to find a icon in the Cpanel whereas the old on I could

Could someone please shed some light onto this one please??

no it is not possible to have custom error pages. This feature has been disable by the Admins.

As "wh00p101" has already said, that option has been disabled for all free accounts.
