Hello X10,

I recently registered for a free domain with a site called http://eu.org/.

They give you full control of the dns entries and everything. The only problem is, when I register the domain on their site, this is what I see:

DNS query result

---- Basic checks

---- Servers and domain names check

---- Checking server addresses

Getting IP for NS1.X10HOSTING.COM...74.86.117.243
Getting IP for NS2.X10HOSTING.COM...74.86.117.241
Error: NS1.X10HOSTING.COM not authoritative for domain mysite.EU.ORG.
Error: NS2.X10HOSTING.COM not authoritative for domain mysite.EU.ORG.
2 error(s), stopping.
When I try to add the parked domain through cPanel, I get this:

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 80.65.50.27,193.213.31.2 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

Any ideas? I've read about these domains and read somewhere that Corey needed to change a setting or something like that...........

Please help! :eek4:

Yeah, basically a simple way around this is to go ahead and make the change here, i.e. login to www.x10hosting.com/account, select the option to use your own domain and enter it. Doing this will make our nameservers authoritative for that domain, however you'll lose access completely for a short time even after you change the nameservers. Another way, is to login to your cPanel and use it as an addon domain. Your current site URL will work even after the change is made.

Okay forget it. I've tried fiddling for hours and got absolutely nowhere. I'm gonna delete my account and start again I think, this might be the problem. My domain was removed from the site in a not so 'graceful' way and I think that may be the problem. When I tried re-adding the domain in cPanel I got loads of errors saying the domain had already being allocated and that I couldn't add it. So now I've cleared the domain and attempted to add another one I still have problems.

Computers are teh suck.
Thanks for your help anyway.
