Exec MyBB Help

Problem: MyBB pages are blank
I am having an issue similar to this. I have an idea about what's causing this problem, although I don't know how to solve it.

Have you upgraded your PHP in your account management panel?

Yes, right now it's intermediate.

This would not be a sufficient reason to get v3, sorry. A work around for this is to comment out the line that is trying to use exec. If I'm not mistaken it's just trying to get the uptime stats of the server which is not needed.

Alright then, so I have to edit the global.php file, right?

EDIT: I commented the section with the 'exec' in it, and now the forum's working.
