External HDD?

I'm considering purchasing an external hard drive in the future. Can anyone tell me (by experience) which drives work the best? I only need about 250 GB of storage, and I don't want NAS or a portable one. I'd also like it to be reasonably priced.

Well i got my Freecom 500Gb for Under £100 or £200 in the uk what is a reasonable price for you?

Calvalry 500 GB external for ~$92 US (with rebates)

I personally have a 160 GB Seagate (I paid $80 for it a year ago.. man how technology changes fast)
