I run wordpress 2.3.1 at news.elementfx.com, in admin pages i get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted

I read in other similar post, the recommended solution was to upgrade to intermediate php, I allready have that, should I upgrade to Advanced PHP Configuration ?

Do you have any mods installed, v2 should be enough memory.

Hummm, WordPress is a bit of a foe when it comes to PHP problems. I would say it may be something to do with the plugins, but my only thought that something may go capoot is when you change something major that you shouldn't have changed. No idea, but hope you get it sorted.

thanks for the reply, the strange thing is that all was working fine just a few minutes ago ...

Also, i usually write long posts, and some of the larger do not get posted..
this may be other limit by php ?

I request a change for php v3, how long does it takes to be approved ?

Unless you were specifically asked to request v3, you may be denied. We would probably like to try and solve the issues before upgrading you again, as Brandon said earlier in this thread.

I think the reason for the error is the size of some of my posts ...
When i unpublish the big posts, there's no problem.

Should i change all my posts or this is can be a reason for a php upgrade ?

thanks for all the quick responses :)

Those must be some big posts, as the max for phpv2 is 32M, so it's allocating 32M to your script but it needs more.
