FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! --PLEASE HELP

Hello,

I uploaded an oscommerse template but it won't let me access it.
I get the error message : "FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!"

Please help on how to fix this.
I read on other posts that this website will not allow us to turn it on for security reasons. Is that true?
If so is there a way around it? I saw that there was a line of script that I could add to EVERY php file.
Is this the only way?
Will this work forsure? (don't want to do it and then it still not work)

Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated.

Had you upgraded your PHP Configuration to v2? If not try Requesting for it at the Account Management Panel.
