LOL, does anybody here remember Dialpad? I mean, it's still there (as a branded service), but it's not as same as before. It's was one of the earlier VoIP services that I know of, back when most of us were using dialup, around the time of .com boom and way before most people used the word VoIP! (yes, I've been online since 1996
) Horrible voice quality, but it was weird, being able to make phone calls around the whole world for free! It was awesome.
Today, I've had friends trying to get me to use Google Chat or Skype, but I've resisted. Maybe it's because of my experience with Dialpad. I know it's not the same now, but I still don't feel like using them. I do use Netmeeting though it's a pain to explain to other people how to use it LOL and I do encourage my friends to call me on my cell phone.
