Feeling Stupid

I got approved from x10hosting this afternoon so naturally I was eager to start doing something. I decided to start with a blog since it’s nice and easy. Got everything put in nice and fast via Fantastico and then the fun began cause next up was adding the ad code. Now I’m not too good when it comes to coding but adding a simple ad in which you’re given the code already should be easy right? It wasn’t in my case. I put in the code where I wanted it (which is right after the header in header.php) and hit the save. I refresh the page and I’m greeted with a little empty space under the header oh YAY! I try putting it in a second time but to no avail. Then I even tried moving it so it was above the header, yet again it didn’t work. Finally I started questioning the ad code itself, so I did a search for the ad codes on the forum and sure enough there was an ad zip file I could download and a few other topics. After dling the zip and looking at it I had realized what I had done wrong. The whole time I was using the HTML coded ads on PHP files and I didn’t even notice. Makes me want to point at myself and laugh like Nelson from the Simpsons

Anyone else feel (or done something) stupid and wish to share? Messed up your computer, website, or hit something with your car, it can be anything.

Lol, dropped ram on tile, never worked. I thought 1GB down the trash till I looked at the package and remembered a warranty.
