ff-mpeg Petition and Request

I was searching the threads and found some posts about ff-mpeg and all those other scripts used to host a youtube-like script anyway i noticed that most of them where pushed off because:
a: the person who wanted them was going to waste resources
b: there was no wide demand for it
I myself need ff-mpeg and all those other scripts for some of my forthcoming projects and thought hey maybe im not the only one so any way im now going to put:
AN OFFICIAL REQUEST TO THE ADMINS FOR FF-MPEG AND ALL THOSE OTHER TOOLS

and i am also going to start this thread as a petition like thing where if you want ffmpeg installed on the servers reply with the following

Reason for wanting ff-mpeg installed:
I AM OFFICIALLY PETITIONING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF FF-MPEG AND ALL THE OTHER RELATED TOOLS

There is more to consider here thought than just who wants it. We would have to look at security issues (if any) and resources that would be used. Good luck on the petition though.

A video converter of any kind will use lots of resources. What is it that you intend on using it for?

Dont forget that TOS rule about monopolising resources, eh?

What kind of project would need ff-mpeg, a video hosting site? Which, if true, is not allowed per TOS.

You can discuss it with Corey, if you are willing to pay you could do a deal with him about it. Most likely if you want a youtube type script, get a dedicated server and use that because you wont affect other people using a lot of resources.

Gallery2 requires ff-mpeg2 and when I ran it on my own machine, cpu cycles were quite low.

If you really need ff-mpeg for testing you, tellme your os if you have Windows... y give you a compiled version 0.4.7 or something... to try... at least it works for me....

Sorry but I am not a believer of people asking for extras like that on a free hosting plan. I mean it sounds like a good idea and all but think of the resource usage!
