File manager: extracting

I'm trying to extract a .rar file but the file manager has been extracting for hours and there has been no progress. It is a fairly large file but it should not take this long (back when I used *******.org as a host, it extracted quickly).

Any idea on what is wrong?

I would suggest changing it from .rar to a .zip file and then extract it.
