File permission problem

Hi i have a problem i try to change a file permisison in cpanel but i can't doit the file admin says that it change it and when it reload the file permissions are the same 644 and i want to change it to 666

Any sugestions?...

You can try to use an FTP program such as SmartFTP and change the file/s /folder/s permission/s.

In SmartFTP, right click the file/s and then click 'permissions' and then change the number from within that window.

Hope that helps you, If that doesnt, you might need to talk to Corey or Auvee about it.

I've tryed with filezilla(last version), and i can't same problem...

but i've solved in other way...

I make a new file, change file permissions to 666, edit the old file, copy the content of the old file into the new, rename both file and done it...

Thanks anyway for all the help :)

you know you can also change permissions threw the file manager in cpanel, fyi...

It always pays to read the posts before replying to a thread on a forum. Most people skim through posts and end up talking about something different :p

Any how, that method seems a bit complex! If you consistently have this problem, PM or email Corey or Auvee (or any admin), they maybe able to fix it.

Odd problem though.Unavailability of the change permissions could have been a permission error on the server that might have got fixed at update.
