Is mp3 an allowed file type? Just for the record, I'm talking about mp3 recordings of my band for a contest, not copyrighted stuff.

Yes, as long as you own them or they are not copyrighted they can be hosted.

Yes, you can host for downloading but I think you cannot live-stream the mp3s.
