File upload limit

So lately on my flash portal, I've been having some issues uploading files to the site. I tried using the portal's built in system to download games to the site, but I noticed all of the larger files were simply replaced with a blank SWF. I tried to re-upload the same files through an FTP with the same result.

I've also noticed the same has happened with some recent image files I've tried to add to the site. I've searched a little bit, but I can't find anything addressing this. In fact all I could find was an old thread claiming there isn't a limit on FTP transfers.

Anyone know the cause or a fix?

it might be due to ....

x10hosting now deletes files 10 MiB (or larger) in size - that have been on the server for more than about 4 hours - from non-upgraded free-hosting accounts
