files not updating?

I have been updating files in my file manager, but when I go to my website, the pages have not changed. Is there a delay between when you update files and when they appear in their updated form?

Are the files you're uploading/updating located in the "public_html" directory?

Also, have you tried clearing your browser's cache, or preforming a hard refresh?
