I run an IRC service and have been looking almost tirelessly for a free Java client I can place on a web page that will connect directly to my IRC service ... so those that don't have / don't want to download Mirc or any client, can connect directly to the IRC service.

Does anyone out there know of one??

Host your IRC at afternet.org. If you setup a channel there you can use their Java Applet to connect to your IRC. They even provide you with a free bot script that will hold your place!

These are all good, but what specifically are you trying to host?

Um, did you miss the entire first post? ... I am not trying to host anything. I already have an IRC service through a provider. Instead of asking friends / family / etc to have to telnet into the IRC, I have heard that there is a java client that I can place on my website that will connect ONLY to my IRC service ...
