Firefox 3.1 beta arrives with JavaScript booster turned off.
Major enhancements over version 3.0.x of the browser include a revamp of the Gecko layout engine, improved support for the latest developments in style sheet standards (ie CSS 2.1 and CSS 3 properties), a tab-switching shortcut and support for a range of new web technologies. And, as previously reported, the next version of the browser includes a privacy (AKA prOn) surfing mode.

I haven't tried it yet; but I may consider installing it on my system later. Is it avaliable as an upgrade for Ubuntu?

Firefox is a really good browser. I use firefox mainly if I want to use the plugins for blogging, etc. I know that firefox sometimes really sucks out all the memory resources from my PC. So for general web surfing, I use Opera and Firefox for work-related activities. I seldom use the built-in Internet explorer on my PC.
