firefox wont connect to my cpanel

i just installed firefox trying to see if that would remedy my ftp issue that i have an open thread on the forum right now. but it doesnt work either seems to hang loading the ftp transaction. thats besides the purpose of this thread. when i type in my site name with port 2082 firefox doesnt load the cpanel login

Are you using http://howtokubuntu.x10hosting.com:2082/ as the URL? Try clearing your cache and flushing your DNS. It might help.

thats the url im using. just flushed the dns cache and yet its still not working

Check if the port 2082 is blocked in Firefox.

If you've a router or firewall, they can be blocking port 2082. If it's this, you'll need to configure them to allow it.

Have you PMed Corey your IP ?

I think it might be something blocking your port 2082, as you can reach your website with no problems. Can you try using a proxy?
