So one day a possible client calls me and says the images on my homepage aren't displaying. I think, "did I accidently delete the folder they are in or have I been hacked or something?! So at my next oppurtunity I check the page using both IE6, IE7 and Opera. Well all seems fine. Must have been a problem between the KB and the Chair.

So today (3/29/08) I am pulling up my site with a fresh install of Firefox on my Vista laptop and lo and behold, my 5 little jpg's are not visible;
<) just placemarkers show up. (You know the ones with the little image icon in the upper left corner). On the same PC I pull my page up with IE7 and Opera and all is fine. Hmmm. Maybe it's something with the install? I look at all my settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary and I tweek a few settings anyway to see if it helps. No Dice. I then installed Firefox on my DT and the first page I go to is my home page (that is after the obligatory visit to the Firefox page which pulls up fine, images and all). No images again.
I have my site's images in one folder one level in from the public_html folder and all my references of course point to that folder. Might that be causing the Firefox problem? That doesn't seem likely as I'm sure there's thousands (at least) of sites where the images are elsewhere.

Any ideas?
