My father asked me to ask some comments here. I hope to study IT in the future, but as my father said, there had been tons of people studied that subject, so he suggested me to study Electronic Enginering.

The main question is, are they quite the same, did or do they related with each others? And can I learn programming?

Besides, my father also asked me that, will IT become the main stream of the future?

Don't become a programmer.

Several teachers of mine were former programmers.. it gets quite boring (they weren't just any programmers, they were the uber nerd programmers who know just about everything there is to Python Scheme C and any other programming language)

Go ahead and try to become a EE; you better be good at mathematics though.. incredibly good*

Go EE. I work as a Manufacturing Engineer and work with Electrical Engineers as part of my job. My major in school was CS. It really depends on how much you want to get paid. EE is 100 times harder to do than CS ;) But more job options and higher pay.

Thanks for all your comments, but, Corey, may I know what is CS? ( better not be counter strike). By the way, I am quite good in Maths and Science (except Bio, as I hate to memorize things that only used to memorize but not understanding )

And Corey, will you fell stress when you are working? or first time finding your jobs? LAthough more option for EE, it's just for certain country or all over the world?
