My forums located at: http://brethart.x10hosting.com/forum have been down for over 2 weeks now. I haven't received any responses on here to my numerous posts. Could somebody please help me?

The whole rest of the website works perfect and fine, but when you go to the forum URL you get the following message:

phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

I have no idea what is causing this or how to fix it. I have 160 users that are growing very impatient. Please help. Thank you!

Have you tried reinstalling the latest forum software from http://phpbb.com ?

Sounds like a file that links to the database has been deleted somehow.

Well Corey is still working on fixing those accounts.. we're all quite busy; people are on vacation, x10rewards is coming out, etc

If it has been down for 2+ weeks, why are you just posting now? Corey and the rest of the staff have been working extremely hard to get everything back up.

I'm not just posting now. I've posted numerous times, check my post history if you don't believe me. I think I said in the first post in this thread that I've posted numerous times with no response.

Like I said, if anyone could give me some help or at least an estimated time of how much longer this will take, it'd be very appreciated. Thanks!!

Since this has not really been going anywhere, is there anyway that someone from the staff can send me a backup of the database from my forums? This way I can start a new forum from scratch and load all the old posts so I don't lose any of them. The file can be sent to my email if possible. Let me know, that'd be great!

Why not just download phpbb and upgrade it rather than doing a clean install????
