Good Day!

Where is the best place to send/get free php scripts? I made a few and I want to give it to the community. One of my scripts is at htp://memories.xeratol.com , it's only one php script and it allows me to view the pictures in my whole site the way I want it to. I did this because multiply and other free personal sites do not offer the functionality that I need. For one, I prefer to view things with as less clicks as possible. Anyway, where could I send/get free php scripts here in x10hosting?

Thanks!
Xeratol

If you poll here
http://forums.x10hosting.com/teh-intarwebz/29856-how-about-usefull-free-scripts-subfolder.html
and opt for lets have a sub forum for such purposes then maybe we can start sharring them here (as long as people only post thier own works of art).

I wrote a script that you can use in the place of a <img **** /> tag.
It resizes by what ever specs you put to it, be it percentage or actuall dimensions. If given it also resizes a image map.

I update it everytime I find something new that could aid in its goal of becoming the only script I will ever need to place and view images, image maps, and so on...
(soon to be added is a GD function that will protect the image from beign used outside of the site its supposed to be, no bandwidth stealing or put a water mark when its not accessed from the site).

For preventing hotlinking, I guess htaccess would do fine. To do it dynamically would just about give your site a DOS if a LOT of people link to our image. It'd be so much simpler to have just 2 images and just output whichever one based on the http referrer :)

I intend on using the referrer, if its not in the authorised list then it puts a log for a request in, using GD generates a image saying it is un a que for auth. and what number it is. If it gets declined the image says just that with a logo from a template and if authorised it shows the desired image...

the only way this could save bandwidth is by making sure the GD images are small and have few colors. It would also be a good way of keeping track of who is seeing what.
