FTP disabled

Hi, I use Fire FTP to upload my webpages , but recently i have not been able to connect to my site by FTP, though i can very well login to my Cpanel and my account as well. i have read the recent issues that are affecting the servers but don't exactly understand if it is what is the problem with me.
Please help me out i have to update my site immediately , if possible.

It's probably related somehow. The admins are going to have their hands full fixing the problems, so they won't have time to address this for a little while. Hopefully, the fixes will also resolve your problem. There's an announcement at the top of this very forum that covers most of it.
