FTP fails to login

I'm using the same username/password I use to log into the site, which is also same as forum user name/password. But when I try to access via ftp I get the following:

Error: Could not connect to server

Try using host/server : topjimmy.x10Hosting.com

I tried that too and it didn't work. Magically, they both work now.... I don't know whats going on but I'm having a lot of trouble with FTP and webdisk.
