FTP not cooperating

First off, I'm using FireFTP, an ftp add-on for Firefox.
Secondly, I can log in to my cPanel, and I used that to create a new FTP account (as I could not login with my default account).
The new FTP account can actually connect to the ftp server, but here's the output I get when I try:

220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [TLS] ----------
220-You are user number 14 of 50 allowed.
220-Local time is now 22:27. Server port: 21.
220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
USER Ash
331 User Ash OK. Password required
PASS (password not shown)
530 Login authentication failed
Unable to make a connection. Please try again.

I finally managed to get my default account, elements, to connect, but this new account strangely cannot. Any thoughts?

HTTP is down, so that might be what is affecting you.

What exactly do you mean by "New account"?!? ... You are only allowed one account on x10. Or are you talking about FTP accounts?

Any new FTP accounts after the first account have to use your full domain address, example.

My user name for x10hosting is Corey so I can login to FTP with Corey, if I create a new user name of elements, to login to FTP I have to use the user name elements@x10hosting.com instead of just elements. Let me know if this works for you. So it would be ash@(domain here).com
