FTP Not Working

I have a 350mb package I want to upload and host. Well, I can't access FTP. It says connected but the server keeps refusing the connection. Also, SFTP works but when I try and upload, it seems to cut the connection off about a tenth of the way. And takes about another 20 minutes just to reconnect.

I am showing the account as not existing. What is your Cpanel user name and domain name url?

I am having a similar problem on Cossacks. I cannot log in via ftp: "421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection."

ftpd is listed as failed in CPanelX

sftp is working just fine for me.

The ftp is showing up for me. I would suggest trying your servers ip as the ftp url. 74.86.116.190 port 21 <--for cossacks

I am having same problem, I connected to the server's Ip, but I get this: Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10054.

I have tried this with two different ftp clients to no avail. From the command line I get the following:

ftp> open 74.86.116.190 21
Connected to 74.86.116.190.
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection.

From Cyberduck it attempts to access: ftp://laddpa@74.86.116.190:21/
It spits out this error:

I/O Error: Connection Failed
ftp://laddpa@74.86.116.190:21/
Unexpected null reply received

My settings worked just fine yesterday, and I have not changed them in the interim.

Same problem with me. Mine were fine, and now my site is down. I have just uploaded a lot of information into it. Please get it back up for me.

I can confirm that my site is down as well. httpd is failed in CPanelX, but ftpd is back up and working fine...

It should be back up now. Can you try and ftp via your normal domain ftp url?

Also, it's still not working. I'm going to try and put the IP up and see if that works.

EDIT: The IP doesn't work. Everything else is perfect but it's becoming a bi#$@ to upload things to my server. I'm tried four different clients with SFTP and they all get cut off by SFTP by the server when I'm uploading even the smallest files.

Also, I'm on the Stolli server.

If you don't mind. Could you send me your password. I will use filezilla and check if i can use the ftp to your account. I can use root but that will not solve your issue.
