FTP Problem

I've just had a problem with FTP:

The remote host actively refused the attempt to connect to it.

Is anybody else having this problem too?

I have similiar problem. I can login in to my FTP account, but I cannot transfer my files via ftp.

I tried using IE and also FireFTP (browsers) but all unsuccessful. It works with my old hosting server, 1and1.com but this method does not work with x10Hosting.com. Do I need to use true FTP programs such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP?

i had the same problem one hour before maybe few minutes before, it said connection refused, but i guess it is fixed now

This sucks, FTP is down now. (Just checked in Cpanel) Also, kinda off of this topic, I think someone has an account on x10 with a bad script, because all this week the server load has been unusually high. I hope we can find the script and get rid of it, and also get FTP fixed soon. Thanks x10

Yeah, keeps happening to me, It works sometimes, but mostly doesn't.

I just bought CuteFTP Pro v7.0 yesterday and it works now.
