FTP problems

I really dont understand this, no matter which FTP client i use nothing works, i cant see any of my folder no public_html and all, i tried to upload an index.php via file manager from the controll panel that doesnt work either, if i upload nothing happens i just keep getting the welcome message on my site,

I'v been buggyng with this for one day now can someone please give me some help?
