Something I am using Needs to know some information for FTP. I put it in to my best knowledge, but it's not working?! I know it's not the script, because it's never had such a problem. Here's what it needs, can anyone help?

FTP Server: (Is it localhost?)
Port: (21, right?)
Username: I know this
Password: I know this
Local Path To SMF: (What's the path to my main folder?)

Thanks in advance to any help guys!

EDIT:
If it helps any, I have a free text ad based hosting account, username fhskeyclub

Depending on where you are entering it, your "Local Path to SMF" should be either:

/home/fhskeyclub/public_html/forumdir
or simply
public_html/forumdir

*replace "forumdir" with the directory that you installed SMF to.

Take care.

It's still not working. I got all ifnormation, but what's the path? tried the default set by SMF (public_html), and a few others (/) (/www/) (/www) (www/) of course w/o parentheses. Is the forum software not allowed to login to my FTP? Or, does the default FTP info not work?

I did put port 21, ftp.links.x10hosting.com as server, and put my correct username/password (even double checked from email).

EDIT:
Haven't tried srek's post yet, lemme give it a try! We posted at similar times :p

EDIT:
Still not working..

The host is not localhost for FTP, it is your domain name.

I don't know what's wrong with it. For anyone wondering, I'm trying to install Tiny Portal into Simple Machines Forums. It needs access to install it though (after I uploaded it). I guess I'll try to custom install it, because I don't want to find another host, this one is cool.

Also, the path to your main folder should be /home/Yuripro/public_html/SMF

Replacing 'SMF' with the forum's folder.

Still no luck. Could it be because I have smf in the root folder? It shows up, but should it be in a subfolder? I tried /home/Yuripro/public_html, /public_html, /home/yuripro/public_html, and some others where I moved the slashes. I'll just try it the hard way :p It's weird though.

It can be installed in public_html folder. Many people have done that.
