For ftp I'm trying to upload a index page.

my subdomains caninecountry so I'm trying to get it to be
caninecountry.exofire.net/index.php

im using my username (hosting) for the ftp account name, and it doesn't work. it brings me to where all the stuff (i think) on my cp panel is stored.

so what username should I be using for ftp?

When you log into your FTP, you should see a folder named "public_html", that's where all your webspace is located at. Upload your Index.php file there.

try cpanelusername@yoursubdomain.com as the login name
